On January 8, 2017, Genesis CEI hosted a fundraiser event to aid in the fight against breast cancer that provided $2,000 towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). The fundraiser featured cornhole tournaments, raffle prizes, and recreational events for employees and guests. The event itself raised $1,500 and Genesis CEI contributed an additional $500 for a $2,000 grand total.
Recognized as one of the leading breast cancer organizations in the world, the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Helping Women Now® by providing early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer. A recipient of Charity Navigator’s highest 4-star rating for 12 years, NBCF provides support through their National Mammography Program, Patient Navigation, Beyond The Shock®, breast health education, and research programs.
“We are excited to make this donation in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Our goal with this fundraiser was to have a fun event while also raising awareness on NBCF and the outstanding services they provide,” stated Tony Harvey, President, Genesis CEI Services.
A special thank you to the committee members who dedicated their time and effort to organize this event, including Tony Harvey, Christy Peeples, Dee Williams, Steve Young, Wilma Davis-Wilson, Tracy Walker, and Robbin Moody.
