Genesis Team Continues to Expand in Tampa and Tallahassee

Genesis, a Florida engineering, planning, landscape architecture and design firm, has announced the addition of seven professionals to their Tampa and Tallahassee, Florida, offices. The staff additions include:

Tampa, Florida

Erica Keller, E.I. Erica “Ricki” Keller, E.I., a recent West Virginia University and Slippery Rock University Civil Engineering graduate, joined Genesis as an Engineer Intern. Keller’s current duties include assisting with the preparation of construction documents, computer aided drafting/design, utility design, site grading, performing storm drainage calculations/design, and preparing drainage reports. Her recent project experience includes the Reserve at Pradera, Reserve at Citrus Park, Triple Creek, and Brandon Crossroads Self-Storage.
Casey Stallcup Casey Stallcup recently joined Genesis as a Landscape Designer. Stallcup has been active in landscape architecture, project management, landscape construction, and supervision for two years. Stallcup’s experience derives from the private sector with a focus in construction documentation and construction techniques. His completed projects include streetscape enhancement, multi-family housing, and high-end residential, and commercial landscape design and construction.
Alistair Brice Alistair Brice, a recent University of South Florida Civil Engineering graduate, joined Genesis as a graduate engineer. Brice’s current duties include assisting with the preparation of construction documents, computer aided drafting/design, utility design, site grading, performing storm drainage calculations/design, and preparing drainage reports. His recent project experience includes FAMU Way Extension Phase II, Tampa Adventist Academy, and Fisher’s Hydraulics.
Kim Padgett Kim Padgett, a recent University of South Florida Accounting graduate, joined Genesis as an Accountant. Padgett’s current duties include accounts payable, accounts receivable, client invoicing, bank and account reconciliations, and providing support to the CFO.

Tallahassee, Florida

Heather Van Assche Heather Van Assche, a recent Florida State University Civil Engineering graduate, joined Genesis as a Graduate Engineer. Van Assche’s current duties include assisting with project permitting, coordinating with the project design team to communicate plan statuses and updates, preparing preliminary plans and construction documents, and preparing drainage reports and analysis. Her recent project experience includes the Mission San Luis Pond Testing; Okaloosa Island 4th, 5th, and 6th Beach Park Development; ITS Design/Build on I-10 As-Built Plans; and FAMU Way.
Melissa Pennington, E.I. Melissa Pennington, E.I., a recent Florida State University Civil Engineering graduate, joined Genesis as an Engineer Intern. Pennington’s current duties include assisting with project permitting, coordinating with the project design team to communicate plan statuses and updates, preparing preliminary plans and construction documents, and preparing drainage reports and analysis. Her recent project experience includes the Frontier Estates Subdivision, City of Tallahassee Transmission Line 55, and Capital Heights Baptist Church Expansion.
Lucas VanSickle Lucas VanSickle recently joined Genesis as a Senior ITS Designer. VanSickle’s experience includes multiple facets of CEI work including but not limited to Survey/GPS use, hands on bridge grouting and concrete testing/documentation, proven nuclear density testing with highly accurate density logbooks, and asphalt milling/resurfacing occurring both night and day. VanSickle’s past experience includes safety inspections, accident reconstruction and analysis, as well as serving as an expert witness in Federal Court.
