P&D TAMPA | Fowler Avenue Interchange
Genesis recently worked with FDOT to design the landscaping for the I-75 and Fowler Avenue Interchange in Hillsborough County. The Phase I design is the largest landscape project to date for the Tampa Landscape Architecture department, with a total design and construction budget of $2.2 million. The site features include gravity retaining walls to create planting opportunities along the freeway, inorganic mulch beds, designated future wildflower and pollinator areas, spacious Live Oak and Crape Myrtle Allees, and overpass planting enhancements. Genesis’ design will provide character to a prominent interchange, increase wildlife habitat while stifling invasive plant and animal species, and allow for ease of maintenance essential to the long-term success of the project.
