Independence Park is a 48+/- acre triangle property located between Independence Parkway, George Road and Memorial Highway within the Westshore Business District in the City of Tampa. Genesis was retained by Highwoods Properties initially to provide Due Diligence and Conceptual Master Planning services related to the redevelopment of the property.

Currently, Genesis is providing site civil and landscape design services for mixed use to include offices, a potential hotel and supporting retail. Design work involves creating a Master Drainage Plan for Multi-phased project, construction plans, landscape and irrigation plans and all necessary permitting. The Master Plan incorporates better traffic flow and more at grade parking for this business development by creating a new internal circulation system. A centralized stormwater system provides a focal feature and site efficiency.

This project is the winner of the 2011 NAIOP Tampa Bay "Best of the Best" Oustanding Rehabilitaion Award.
