Shell Oil Station/Convenience Store

Situated at the intersection of two major State roads, this project is located on a 1.7 acre outparcel of a master planned shopping center and apartment complex in southern Tallahassee. Even though the project is located in the County, it required the use of both City and State facilities necessitating coordination between a number of governmental agencies. Currently the shopping center along with its master stormwater system are not scheduled for construction until some time in the future, so temporary stormwater facilities were constructed off-site and adjacent to the project. In addition, interim sanitary sewer facilities were required until such time as the City of Tallahassee extends the appropriate facilities to the site. Because of the existence of several endangered species within the shopping center site proper, the site and landscape design had to consider the sensitive habitat of those species. Genesis provided the full range of services for this successful and attractive project including site design, landscape design, permitting, and construction administration services. Both parking and sign ordinance variances were required to complete the construction.
